As
with every social media platform, Facebook has a lot of fake people. People
that post false pictures that do not resemble them in any way and use them to
lure non-suspecting members and in some cases even defraud.
If you feel someone
is stalking you or you don't want to receive posts from any person, for any the reason at all, it's better to block the person.
Every
Facebook user has the right not only to add friends to their friend’s list but also the right to either remove
them entirely or block them for a while.
Some of the popular reasons why users
block Facebook friends are:
o When
friends post abusive content to their walls.
o If
there is a security risk as a result of having a user as a friend.
o When
the user discovers that they are being stalked by another user.
o If
provocative messages are being sent to a user.
o When
a user’s personal
information is being used to the detriment of the user by a friend on his or
her friend’s list.
It
is wise to be very careful as to the kind of friend’s request you accept. And even if you do now
without knowing the room of danger and discover your mistakes, later on, it is
better for you to block such a friend.
The
interesting thing about blocking a friend on Facebook is that the person will
never know you blocked them. So, you don't have to worry about losing them
permanently if it's not your intention.
